The Great Lakes Wings Motorcycle Drill Team was formed
in the summer of 1993 because a few GWTA riders wanted to hone their skills and perform for their peers. Since
our inception we have performed at several national and state rallies as well as many public events.
We are always looking for anyone who is a member
of GWTA and owns a Goldwing (with an on-board CB) to try out for the team. Contact Bill Neubeck or Terry Hammond
if you have any questions.
Any GWTA member in the mid-Michigan, northern Indiana
or northern Ohio area is invited to join us at one of our practice sessions to sharpen your skills.
We
practice every Thursday and Sunday, weather permitting, at the Capitol Area Career Center in Mason, Michigan.
It is located at the corner of Howell Road and Hagadorn Road. The Thursday practice session begins at 5:30 p.m.
The Sunday practice session begins at 1:00 PM.
At some events we put on a program we call "Come
Ride With Us" in which anyone can bring their motorcycle to try some of the drill team maneuvers. We work with all interested
riders as a group as well as individually. Several of our current drill team members began with this program.
It is a great way to learn some tricks from us and see if you would be interested in joining the team.
